PENGARUH FEAR OF MISSING OUT DAN THE BIG FIVE PERSONALITY TERHADAP PERILAKU PHUBBING PADA GENERASI-Z

Penelitian ini dilakukan guna mengeksplorasi pengaruh fear of missing out, openess to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness serta neuroticism terhadap perilaku phubbing pada generasi-z selaku pengguna aktif media sosial. Kontribusi penelitian ini diharapkan bisa mengetahui indikator atau faktor yang mempengaruhi generasi-z dalam melakukan perilaku phubbing. Sehingga, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui pengaruh fear of missing out, openess to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, dan neuroticism terhadap perilaku phubbing pada generasi-z yang berdomisili di wilayah DKI Jakarta. Pengujian ini dilakukan dengan metode analisis regresi linear berganda. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 225 responden yang berdomisili DKI Jakarta dan merupakan pengguna akitf media sosial. Data penelitian ini ialah data primer, karena sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling dengan melakukan penyebaran kuesioner secara online. Hasil pengujian pada penelitian ini menunjukkan fear of missing out berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku phubbing, openess to experience berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku phubbing, extraversion berpengaruh secara positif terhadap perilaku phubbing, agreeableness berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku phubbing, neuroticism berpengaruh poisitif terhadap perilaku phubbing. Namun, teradapat juga hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak adanya pengaruh conscientiousness terhadap perilaku phubbing. Terdapat pula implikasi manajerial dari penelitian ini ialah untuk meningkatkan rasa kontrol diri yang baik serta sikap khsususnya para generasi-z dalam menggunakan smaprtphone selaku pengguna aktif media sosial.
