SISTEM PEMESANAN KAMAR HOTEL BERBASIS WEB

The hotel industry is experiencing rapid development along with the implementation of information technology, particularly in room reservation systems. Hotel Pinangsia, which still relies on a manual system, faces several issues related to operational efficiency, recording errors, and limitations in providing real-time room availability information. This study aims to design and develop a web-based reservation system to address these issues. The software development method used is Agile with a Scrum approach, which includes requirements gathering, sprint planning, phased development, system testing, and implementation. The primary programming language used is JavaScript with the Next.js framework for front-end and back-end development. Database management is carried out using the Prisma ORM, which is connected to a cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database through the Aiven service. The system is also integrated with Xendit, a payment gateway service provider, enabling online payment transactions. The system's main features include user authentication, online room reservations, room and reservation data management, reservation confirmation by the receptionist, and a dashboard display for managers and staff. This system is specifically designed for Hotel Pinangsia and does not cover multi-branch or multi-hotel management. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the web-based system improves operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
