Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The framework of the article/manuscript of the Computer and Technology Journal (JUKOMTEK) consists of:

Title

The title must be specific and informative, describing the research results, and the relationship between the variables can be seen in the title. The article title should be a maximum of 12 words.

Abstract

The language of the abstract follows the title of the article, if the title uses Indonesian, the abstract must be written using Indonesian, vice versa. The scope of the abstract must at least include: problems, research objectives, methods, findings and implications. ← The abstract is written in a word count between 150 - 250, 1 (one) paragraph, 1 (one) Space, Justify, 10pt, Book Antiqua. Keywords maximum 5 keywords.

1. Introduction

This section contains the background, reasons for the research, problem formulation, statement of objectives, and writing organization. ← The writing is in paragraph form, without using sub-headings, bullets or numbering, 12pt, Book Antiqua, 1.15 spacing before and after 0.

2. Theoretical Basis

The theoretical basis must contain a concise but solid theoretical study, and be relevant to the purpose of writing the article. ← Citations are written in bodynote format, without page numbers, (it is recommended to use Mendeley, EndNote, Zetero or other reference management applications) 12pt, Book Antiqua.

3. Research Methods

The research method explains the research design used. (method, data type, data source, data collection techniques, data analysis techniques) ← Written in paragraph form, without using sub-headings, bullets or numbering, 12pt, Book Antiqua.

4. Results and Discussion

The results of the research are empirical data or theoretical studies written systematically, critically analyzed, and informatively.

While the discussion of the results is argumentative concerning the relevance between the results, theories, previous research and empirical facts found, and shows the latest findings.

Articles must be written according to the template. Using Indonesian or English. Avoid writing in bullet, numbering or item list form, even though it is an item list, it is better to write it in descriptive paragraph form. The maximum number of pages is 15 pages with A4 size and margin format (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm). The use of foreign words or terms must be written in italics.

The use of tables and images, etc. is only as a support that clarifies the discussion. Tables and images are placed consistently in the middle of the page, numbered and titled at the top for Tables and below for Images. The journal writing template can be downloaded here.

5. Conclusion

The conclusion contains findings that are written in a concise, concise and clear manner. It is not recommended to be written in several parts or points.

Bibliography

The Bibliography in compiling articles in the Journal of Computers and Technology (JUKOMTEK) uses the Harvard style.

The degree of sophistication of the referenced materials is within the last 10 years. The list of references is expected to be 80% primary sources from national and international research articles. The bibliography written is only the one truly referred to in the article and is arranged alphabetically.
